Dr Marea McMahon is a graduate from the University of Queensland in 1976.

Marea began her medical career at Ipswich General hospital and then the Mater Hospital in Brisbane before marrying and moving to Canberra in 1978.

After 3 years in Canberra Marea relocated back to Brisbane in 1981 and began working in general practice. In 1987 Marea joined her father’s practice and has continued the family tradition in providing quality health care to the northern suburbs of Brisbane at Kedron Wavell Medical Centre.

Areas of interest for Marea include complex medical care, counselling and women’s health.

Marea is committed to handing on her skills and experience to the new generation of General Practitioners, through her mentoring of GP Registrars and medical students.

Dr McMahon operates her own medical services business at Kedron Wavell Medical Centre
