Dr Esther Jenkins graduated from medicine at the University of Queensland in 2001. Esther completed her internship in Brisbane then worked overseas in the UK for a few years, combining her love of travel with NHS hospital work.

Upon returning to Australia, Esther was based in Queensland hospital for 15 years, focusing in medical specialties and geriatric medicine. She was also involved in a management consulting role for several years on a large scale eHealth project for Queensland Health.

Esther commenced her General Practice training at an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service.

Esther is interested in the challenges and variety of general practice and works part time (in an attempt) to balance family life with her 5 young children, swimming, running and holidays.

Dr Jenkins operates her own medical services business at Kedron Wavell Medical Centre.
